I’ve been coming here every year for my annual appointments, and I’m always very happy with the care I receive. I recently had my mammogram and Pap smear, and everything was great. The staff is friendly and professional, and my doctor Mastrodomenico is excellent—very caring, knowledgeable, and attentive. I highly recommend this office!

I am eternally grateful to Dr. Pedro Mastrodomenico, not only for the exceptional prenatal care he provided throughout my pregnancy, but especially for how he handled the most important moment of all: the day my baby was born. That Sunday morning, instead of simply relying on what the nurses reported, Dr. Mastrodomenico came in personally to check on me. With the best attitude and genuine concern, he made the firm recommendation for a C-section, recognizing that conditions weren’t right for a natural birth. Thanks to his sound judgment and his willingness to intervene at exactly the right moment, I can now look back on my delivery as a beautiful memory rather than a traumatic experience. I’m endlessly thankful for his professionalism, his impeccable timing, and the care he took with every decision. My C-section scar healed beautifully, my recovery was smooth, and he personally checked in on me every single day afterward to make sure everything was progressing well. I'm an older woman and I was very nerve about my first visit and was considering canceling the appointment due to my not seeing a gynecologist for a long while, you see I'm a caregiver and my time is so consumed doing for others that I often neglect myself. However, I was treated so nicely it made me forget about how nervous I was. Dr. Lizarraga and her nurse and staff made me feel very comfortable and relaxed.

Going to OBGYN it’s usually very uncomfortable, but not this visit, and had a very pleasant experience. Professional, with a lot of positive energy from the Doctor and staff.

I had a very disappointing experience with this nurse practitioner and their office. I scheduled what was supposed to be an annual visit covered by my insurance, but at no point was I informed that additional charges would apply. During the appointment, the practitioner asked routine questions, which I later learned were used to justify billing for extra services that were never disclosed or agreed upon. To make matters worse, I was given an inaccurate diagnosis that did not align with my actual concerns, and none of the issues I came in to discuss were properly addressed. I left the appointment feeling unheard and frustrated. The billing practices are especially concerning. The office charged my card without my authorization and did so before even attempting to process the claim through my insurance. This lack of transparency and consent is completely unacceptable. Additionally, I was advised by the office manager that in the future I should not discuss any medical matters with the doctor and should just stay quiet or lie to the doctor in order to avoid charges. Overall, this experience felt misleading and unprofessional. Patients deserve clear communication about costs, accurate care, and ethical billing practices. I would not recommend this provider.

Loved the Dr. He was extremely helpful and personable. We laughed the entire time but also took care of business as well.

Appointments were backed up, and I was truly about to leave. What he lacked in time management was over shadowed by bedside manner and knowledge! I respect the fact that he hit on other subjects within my medical chart without me really having to ask ! I had very sour demeanor and he really put me at ease .

Amazing medical experience, felt safe.

Always a pleasant experience with Dr. Spencer Grabois. I had a wonderful pregnancy and felt well cared for by Aventura OBGYN Associates before, during and after pregnancy. I delivered vaginally, had a healthy baby boy, recovered well despite some tearing, and fully bounced back. I’m a happy mum to a 9-month-old boy and continue to come here for my ongoing gyno care.

Staff at the practice are friendly and welcoming. I was seen pretty quickly in spite of a complete full waiting room. I did not feel rushed during the visit, felt like the time and care was taken to listen to my concerns and include me in determining the best treatment plan

I waited two hours in the waiting room before being seen by the doctor. Dr. Lizarraga was extremely rude, impatient, and seemed to lack knowledge. She prescribed only two months of medication. Right after leaving the office, I learned that I had to travel to Brazil for an emergency and would be there for three months. I called the office, and the staff member, Judy, was extremely rude as well. She told me their procedure is to provide only two months of medication. I explained my emergency situation, and after some resistance, she finally said she would send a message to the doctor—but the response could take days. Nobody has contacted me with an answer. I will have to stop the medication for one month because the doctor refuses to provide an additional refill. If anything happens to me as a result, the RESPONSABILITY will fall on the provider. I am very disappointed with the entire experience. This was my first visit to this office, and it will definitely be my last. I DO NOT RECOMMEND this office

The doctor was great but the nurse I saw before Dr. Lizarraga came in, was rude, abrupt and I couldn't wait to leave. She is not nice at all! I felt very uncomfortable. I don't know her name but if this happens again, I will make a formal complaint about her.

However, the overall experience extends beyond the physician, it begins with the office staff. The front desk team is friendly, but they are clearly overwhelmed by the patient volume and the constant complaints about long wait times. The waiting area while not small, has limited seating for the volume of appointments. During my 1 hour and 5 minute wait just to be taken back by the medical assistant, at least five other patients voiced frustration that they had already been waiting over an hour. At one point, the manager asked all men to stand and give up their chairs to women. While courtesy should be common sense, so should providing timely and respectful patient care. The overcrowded waiting room, with patients standing shoulder-to-shoulder and everyone’s private information overheard at the front desk, felt more like a free clinic in a developing country than an established medical practice in Aventura. This office has been around for decades, and while many of the physicians have excellent reputations, the excessive wait times have been a consistent issue for more than 20 years. It is disappointing that patients, including pregnant women, are expected to sit in an overcrowded room for over an hour before being seen. Patients deserve to be treated as more than just numbers, especially in a city where even valet parking is required just to arrive for an appointment.

I couldn’t be happier with the care I’ve received from my OB/GYN. From the very first visit, I felt welcomed, heard, and respected. Doctor Spencer D. takes the time to explain everything clearly and makes sure I understand all my options, which really puts me at ease. I never feel rushed during appointments, and I appreciate the compassion and patience shown to me each time.

I had my first visit with Dr. Spencer Grabois, DO, and I was very impressed. He was attentive, professional, and made me feel comfortable throughout the visit. My appointment was scheduled for 10:00 a.m., and by 10:05 I was already in the exam room, which shows how efficient the office is. They also offer mammograms on-site, which is extremely convenient for patients.
